Are our cable protectors suitable for outdoor use?

Our cable protectors are suitable for pedestrian traffic but are not reinforced to take the weight of vehicles in outdoor areas. They are manufactured from a compound which is designed to be resistant to seawater, ultra-violet light, sea water, fatigue and abrasion; this allows them to be suitable for a wide range of situations and applications.

How do I use cable protectors?

The cable protectors vary in terms of their design, and if you look at the individual profiles, this show their designs. Some of our cable tidies have open bores underneath, or bores with slits for the cables to be pushed upward through. Other cable protectors are fully enclosed so that cables can either be fed through from one end, or a slit can be made with a sharp knife and cables pushed through from underneath.

Is there a limit to how many cables you should put in cable protectors?

A cable protector with an appropriate sized bore should be purchased for the cables which are to be enclosed and protected; the number and size of cable which can be fitted into each one will vary according to the needs of each customer, and the choice of cable tidy is a decision for the electrician to make, according to the particular application in question.

What lengths can I buy cable protectors in?

Cable protectors are sold in standard lengths, generally 9m but the lengths are specified against each item. 

Carriage

Carriage will be payable at the stated rates, or the goods can be collected from our Southampton depot.

Please be aware that the individual weights of the items are listed against the profiles in the catalogue, and any order weighing over Xkg will be palletized and will have to be fork lifted onto an appropriate vehicle if you are collecting.
