Class 1 gloves offer protection to an operating voltage of a maximum of 7,500V and are tested to 10,000V. This selection is for a length of glove at 36cm; for an alternative length of 41cm, please click here.
Class 1 insulating gloves are produced to a thickness of 1.5mm (+0.6mm/-0mm), and have a resistance classification of AZC (acid, ozone and very low temperatures); for more detail on the test procedures defining resistance, please contact us. Your electricians gloves should be electrically re-tested within a maximum period of 6 months from the previous test, including those gloves held in storage; this is a service we can supply, please contact us for further information.
Our electrician's gloves are yellow in colour with a smooth finish, are manufactured from 100% latex and are anatomically shaped for comfort and ease of use. Each pair of gloves is marked with specific information as follows: the IEC symbol (demonstrates suitability for live working); references of the IEC and EN standards with which they comply; class, category and size of glove; name of manufacture; month and year of production; batch number; identification number of the accredited body responsible for monitoring the quality systems; areas for marking first use and periodical inspection dates.
Insulating gloves should always be kept in their protective packaging between usages; please see our FAQ page for advice on cleaning.
