The working voltage of this variant of electrical matting is 650V, and is nominally 9.5mm thick.  The matting is tested to 15KV and is manufactured in line with the BS:921 specification.  All our switchboard matting is available in 3 standard widths according to your requirements; this particular option is 1000mm wide.  All orders of electrical safety matting are supplied with a certificate of conformity.  For further information on the BS921:1976 specification please see our FAQ's which provides an overview of the specific requirements.

A high quality natural rubber compound is used to manufacture our switchboard matting, and the final product is black in colour.

Electrical safety matting is used in a range of environments to provide protection against electrical shock for maintenance staff, operators and contractors.  Electrical mats can be supplied to the required size appropriate to the relevant apparatus, or can be cut to size on site using a sharp knife.  Please be aware that any mat you cut should be no smaller than 900mm x 900mm in size.

Due to the requirements of this product, even a small amount can have quite a substantial weight and therefore any length over 2-3 metres may have to be palletised for shipping; it can therefore be cost-effective to buy a larger quantity or longer length if you aware that you will have a further requirement for this in the future.
